Great hats, bad quality control

I have a complicated relationship with these hats. I have a big head, so I'm trepidatious about hat sizes, particularly one-size-fits-all. My wife got me a navy blue one of these, and I love it. It's big enough for my huge bald head, and does a great job of keeping said bald head warm, which is what I wanted. I loved it so much, we ordered the variety 12-pack.
Boy was that a disappointment. Of the twelve hats, only four even were even vaguely big enough for my head, and even those were really tight. Three of the hats are so small they would only fit children. Unlike the first hat, several of them have manufacturing flaws; flyaway ends and such. I'm really surprised there could be such a difference.
I think what might be going on here, given the minimal information I have, is that the hats ordered singularly are given a final quality check before they're mailed, but the 12-pack hats are not. The singular hat came loose in an envelope with no additional packaging, while the hats in the 12-pack were packed efficiently in a sealed plastic bag, looking like they just came out of the factory. So when they pull a single hat, maybe they look it over one more time. I expect that doesn't entirely address the size variation, but it probably prevents flawed hats and ridiculously tiny ones from going out.
My advice is to stay away from the 12-pack. I think ordering several specific hats would probably be like ordering a single one, so that may be fine.

These beanies are small and nicely made, great colors & price

I purchased 4 of these and am very pleased. The price including shipping is better than most on Amazon, the color assortment is excellent. Probably not a good for for someone with a large head. Nicely made, should last if treated decently.

Quality Caps

For the price, I didn't expect much, but I was surprised at the good quality of the caps. I ordered several colors and I've had them for awhile...and even after some hand washing they are not out of shape and they have retained color. Could be the way I've cared for them .... Overall, they were a good little buy. I'm satisfied.
